Removal companies near you
Good removal companies are local by nature — they know which streets a Luton fits down and which blocks need a bay booked. Tell us where you are moving from and to, and up to five removal companies that cover your postcode quote you directly. Free, and no obligation.
- ✓ Only firms that cover your postcode area
- ✓ Up to five quotes from one form
- ✓ You choose who to talk to — or nobody
How it works
How do you find removal companies near you?
Enter both addresses in one form. Removal companies on Removly choose the postcode areas they cover, and your move goes only to those whose areas include yours — up to five of them. They quote you directly, and when more firms qualify than five, the ones that have had fewest enquiries lately go first.
Every company quoting through Removly must show us goods-in-transit insurance and trade under a real, checkable business. Firms that generate complaints get taken off the service. How the whole thing works is on the about page.

Before you book
How do you tell a good removal company from a cheap one?
- A survey before a fixed price. In person or by video. A firm that prices a house blind is guessing.
- Insurance in writing. Ask what goods-in-transit cover includes and what it excludes.
- An itemised quote. Crew, vehicle, packing, parking and any extras, line by line.
- BAR membership, if offered. British Association of Removers members work to its model terms and conditions.
- Pay a deposit by credit card. For a move costing over £100, Section 75 can make the card issuer liable too.
The full checklist, with what to do if something goes wrong, is in our guide to choosing a removal company.

Budgeting
Removal company prices at a glance
A local 3-bed house move typically costs £870–£1,300, and a 1-bed flat £430–£520. Volume, distance and access move the number far more than the postcode does. Try our removal costs calculator for your own range in about a minute.

Good to know
Removal companies: FAQs
How do I find removal companies near me?
Enter both addresses in one short form. Removal companies on Removly choose the postcode areas they cover, and your move goes only to companies whose areas include yours — up to five of them — who then quote you directly.
Is it better to use a local removal company?
For most moves, yes. A local firm knows the parking rules, the streets a lorry fits down and which blocks need a lift booked, and it is not charging you to drive a crew across the country. For long-distance moves, a firm already running your route can price lower still.
How many removal quotes should I get?
Three to five. Quotes for the same move regularly differ by hundreds of pounds, and comparing a few surveyed prices side by side shows you which one is out of line, in either direction.
Does it cost anything to get quotes through Removly?
No. Getting quotes is free and there is no obligation to book. Removal companies pay to receive enquiries; you only pay the company you choose, for the move itself.
What if few removal companies cover my area?
In some rural postcodes fewer firms cover the area, so you may hear from one or two rather than five. Long-distance specialists often cover those moves too, so it is still worth asking.
